The Bell Tower: Best Apartment To Rent In Bansko?

Jul 12, 2011 2 Comments by

Apartments to rent in Bansko are not in short supply, to put in mildly. But all too often a cheap apartment means cheap and uninspiring furnishing.

The Bell Tower Apartment, in Bansko Royal Towers, is a VIP three bedroom home to rent just 150 metres from the gondola that has the wow factor. This is a property that competes with the best, not just in Bulgaria but other resorts in France or Switzerland. I’ve been busy recently — in fact rather lucky — out and about sampling the best that Bansko, has to offer.

Once again, I am really pleased to write that there is more and more high quality and good value to be found in Bansko than ever before.

This large three bedroom apartment costs from just 88 euros per night. Great value.

Three Bedrooms: 360 Degree Views

On entering the apartment the “wow factor” is apparent. A large wooden dining room table and spacious sofa area are inviting items. A very cool ski and snowboard boot locker, is located by the apartment entrance door. Lots of space for goggles and hats.

I took a close look at the workmanship of the bathrooms — an area that so often lets other Bansko apartments down.

On being shown around this apartment, I asked Warren at Crown Interiors, the company commissioned by Jo the owner, as to how he achieved such a good level of finish for his client. He replied, “I am a perfectionist, and what I didn’t do myself,  I knew how it should be done”. He explained, with enthusiastic detail, the extra steps he takes when finishing, and furnishing, apartments. “I insist and minute manage every detail”. Quite so, from what I could see.

It is this attention to detail and anticipating clients needs that I’ve seen recently in Bulgaria that makes all the difference to a VIP home to rent, and a quality vacation.

After inspecting the huge bedrooms, all blessed with wonderful views, it was time to go up to the Bell Tower roof terrace viewing deck.

I was not disappointed.

The views are totally uninterrupted and it is here that a drink, shared with good friends in both summer and winter, has to be experienced to be believed.

The Living Areas

A large double sofa bed, armchairs and dining table. The sitting area is equipped with TV with DVD player, plenty of games and broadband internet connection. The Bell Tower Apartment is the perfect place to relax after a busy day of exercise; skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, quad bike riding, white water rafting or horse riding.

A full shower room off the lounge provides privacy for guests using the double sofa bed.

The heated ski locker is provided for all the gear used by up to eight active skiers. The dining area seats eight persons in comfort.  Fine vistas of the Pirin and Rodopi mountain ranges are viewed from the lounge area. Outside the dining room is a large deck with seating and tables and offering barbeque facilities in the summer season.

The superbly appointed kitchen is equipped with a quality hob, oven, microwave, and the all essential dishwasher. As a keen cook myself, I can vouch that The Bell Tower Apartment has all the ancillary equipment to allow an enthusiastic chef to prepare great meals for those cosy nights in.

Most of Bansko’s restaurants and bars are located close by.

The spiral staircase provides convenient access from this area to the first floor.

The Bedrooms

Upstairs the large master bedroom is carpeted and, with its king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a full size tub, is a luxurious room. The views to the mountains are sublime.

I took a peak at the equally large twin bedded room. It shares the same views across roof tops into the far distance.

A smaller bunk bedroom with two adult bunks are strongly and imaginatively designed by Warren and Crown Interiors to give the best possible use of the space.

The bunk room and twin bedroom share the family shower room and the bathroom downstairs.

So often there is a shortage of storage space in Bansko apartments, however I could see that there is plenty of wardrobe and storage space. The attention to those small details that collectively make this apartment a home I am sure guests will want to rent time and time again.

In Bulgarian the word for goodbye is doviždane. A word that I guarantee all guests would struggle to say to Bansko when staying in The Bell Tower apartment. An apartment with space, and quality, stamped all over it.

How Do I rent Bell Tower?

Go to Jo’s Bell Tower Apartment web site for all the details. As a special offer until 15th December guests, with confirmed bookings at the Bell Tower, receive an extra 2% discount off my ski packages early booking deal.

All the bedrooms are warm and comfortable. In summary this is a fine place to be after an active day on the slopes.

I only recommend places I believe in, and have seen. However, if you have views on what makes a luxury home in Bansko, or elsewhere then do comment below.
