Bansko in the summer season. As we heard in Jonathan Allen’s recent audio interview  part 2, hiking is one of the things he enjoys to do in Bansko. I would also recommend listening to my recent podcast conversation with two hoteliers on Bansko’s summer activities.

So with temperatures rising the Bulgaria summer has now arrived and I take a look at my top 10 activities to do in Bansko; albeit little later than most years. Keep an eye o the weather, as there still will be some rain showers.

Bansko Blog takes bookings for most summer activities and I specialise in tailoring the right schedule for you.

We are all different and like a different mix of exercise, culture and relaxing.

My Top 10 summer activities does exclude many other great things to do and places to see. But,whatever you fancy, contact me and I and the team will put together a programme that suits you and your family.

1.  Mountain hiking

Bansko is not Bansko without the Pirin mountains. Take the gondola lift and walk up to Vihren hut or drive up and park and start you hike up to the lakes. Take a picnic and enjoy the stunning scenery. Or take the lift above Dobrinishte and hike Bezbog region. Hiking tours €30 per person. Click here for more info published here on hiking in the Pirin.
