Wednesday 18 March update from the hill: there was fresh snow overnight (a couple of centimetres), with fog higher up, and overall ski conditions were decent for most visitors.

One clear frustration today is piste number 8 being closed. The competition there has finished, so it should now be reopened for general public use.

On the snow itself: conditions were mixed but generally good enough for enjoyable skiing, with some harder patches under the top layer and better sections lower down.

The outlook is still positive: more snow is expected this weekend, and temperatures on the mountain are expected to stay cold, with night-time values below freezing.

Resort atmosphere remains calm right now. Due to current travel restrictions for Israelis and wider economic pressures, Bansko is quieter than usual, and queues are minimal across the resort.
