Exciting News: Bansko Elevates Ski Road Snowmaking for the 2023/24 Ski Season!
In the summer of 2023, Ulen AD, embarked on a substantial enhancement project to upgrade the entire TechnoAlpin Snowmaking System spanning the entire stretch of the ski route from Banderishka Polyana to Bansko know as “the ski road”. The ski road is a vital part of the Bansko skiing experience and is not only my favourite piste but also serves to disperse the population of skiers amongst the ski terrain.
This significant investment now enables the resort operator to blanket the slopes with a nice compact blanket of snow extremely quickly. They can take advantage of favourable conditions whereby temperatures hit -2 degrees Celsius with low air humidity. They can now achieve full coverage within an impressive 72 hour timeframe!
This is a HUGE DEAL and probably the best investment for many years the lift company has made in Bansko.
Moreover, in preparation for the upcoming winter season, Ulen has acquired two state-of-the-art Leitner snow groomers. These cutting-edge additions are poised to ensure that our slopes are impeccably maintained, elevating your skiing and snowboarding experience to a world-class level.
