February Snow Forecast: Booking Tips

Feb 11, 2022 No Comments by

With the most incredible snow filled days we enter the holiday season her win Bansko. Slope conditions have been between 9/10 and 10/10 these days. There is 1.5m of snow higher up.

Forecast week commencing 14th February 2022

It’s looking like more of the same but now with higher daytime temperature in town of around 10C. This may cause some icy conditions on lower slopes in the morning before they soften up in the sunshine.

There will be a few scattered snow falls on this Sunday 13th and Wednesday 16th. So whilst no big snow falls, the week will be a good one. Looking ahead more than week is unreliable but I would hope for a bigger snow fall from the week commencing 21st February.

Lift queues are now getting up to 45 minutes and I expect those to go over 1 hour at peak times these next few weeks. Looking ahead the best time to come to Bansko is late season from 14th March until the end of the season which I expect to be 10th April.

Ski Lessons

As mentioned in my vlogs, lessons are fully booked until the 27th February and from there they are filling up really fast up to the 8th March.

It’s always disappointing to have turn people away so I urge you to book well ahead to avoid disappointment. Just 20% is payable and that is refundable should you not be able to travel.

Booking early is a risk-free decision.
