Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko has been recognised as “Bulgaria’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel 2019” by World Travel Awards. The red carpet gala ceremony took place on Saturday, 8th June on the Portuguese island of Madeira.
The online votes were cast by professionals working within the tourism industry and by the public on the organisation’s official website from 11 March to 28 April. Globally recognised as the ultimate hallmark of quality for 26 years, World Travel Awards is dedicated to acknowledging, rewarding and celebrating excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. The programme is renowned as the most prestigious in the field of tourism, and is held on an annual basis.

The Kempinski is the landmark property in Bansko and it’s the one place that I know I can recommend with confidence. Standards have increased in the last few years and the attention to the small details continues to improve. The Spa renovation made last year really ensure the hotel remains a high end favourite. Ironically the hotel is best in summer and Autumn time for value for money and the ability to spend time by the pool and relax.
The hotels restaurants, including the lobby bar, the Come Prima (watch out for special dinner there), the Sushi and Teppanyaki Bar and Grill (open in winter only) come recommended. The lobby bar is one of the few places I can meet friends without noise and enjoy the tranquility and the views.
