Tia Maria Chalet and Spa is the Most Luxurious Chalet To Rent near Bansko. The photographs of this new five ensuite bedroom, 450 m2 luxury chalet, only tell part of the story. It’s only when I entered the grounds that I could see why this is such a good location for a luxury chalet. Here’s what some guests had to say out their stay here when I cam round:

The Pirin mountain it faces looks even more impressive when being 8km in the distance. The Rila mountains are closer than when in Bansko itself and glow in the sunset.

The sympathetic design of Tia Maria chalet becomes immediately apparent as I approached it. But it was the moment I entered the large outdoor open air jacuzzi spa, containing real hot mineral water, that I realised that this is more than special; it is unique for the whole region.

Tia Maria chalet’s spa has a sauna, a steam bath and an open air jacuzzi with hot spring mineral water. So, as part of my tour with swimming trunks at the ready, I was soon relaxing in the hot mineral water jacuzzi with Venislav, Chalet Tia Mari’a owner. If it’s snowing and cold outside, like it was, then the I can assure you, dear reader, that the experience is just what my tired ski legs needed.

I can imagine having a most memorable party for friends here. Maybe a significant birthday Preparing a feast for friends sounds fun here. Maybe I should be roasting a local lamb in the well appointed kitchen or, in summer time, using the outside built-in barbecue whilst taking in the fresh mountain air on the long summer nights.

The living room and dining area, with an open fire place, look inviting for big dinners with friends. So good, that I started to construct a few ideas in my head designed to make this happen before too long!

It was clear that this is more than a chalet to rent it can be your own private hotel. After meeting some guests here they had everything sorted. A dinner “takeaway” can be delivered (for example 120 lv for 10 persons). A visiting massage service can be arranged which meant that you really are in your own private hotel. Local fresh (and unpasteurised if you prefer) milk, eggs, yoghurt, bread and fresh meat can all be delivered on request.

By the time I had finished an extended session in the outdoor jacuzzi with Venislav, those plans were formulating into something more tangible. This property was not only special, but somehow accessible to many more people than you would think. I would say, albeit slightly biased, it’s remarkably affordable. So often in Bulgaria gardens and grounds are overlooked. But Tia Maria chalet you are in for a treat. You have total privacy on the terrace and in the large private garden. For fellow geeks there is 100 mbps WI-FI throughout the whole chalet. Fast internet key for me so the box is ticked for off site business meetings / team building sessions. Your team will be firing off pictures to their friends in no time at all.

Those that could not join them here will share a little of their envy.

This property is a super option for a ski trip, a summer holiday or a weekend away. It is located in a protected and professional secured and guarded area along with with six other fine houses. But there is immense privacy.

The 1,500 sq.m. well maintained private garden is plants with many vibrant flowers and shrubs in front of the house. The peaceful and relaxing setting feels just right as some as you enter of the whole area.

The Chalet comprises 450 sq.m. featuring five individually decorated bedrooms with attached to them bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have king size beds. And in two of them there is a possibility for a sofa bed as well.

The other two have two individual beds in each. Each room is equipped with a flat screen with a satellite TV, directly connected to the internet and an HDMI cable is available. The master bedroom, on the ground floor, has a working fireplace as well.

The living room and the dining area take 75 sq.m and features a large wood burning open fire place. Technology is tastefully integrated with a big flat screen satellite TV which can be connected to the Wi Fi equipment. It’s karaoke enabled as well. You’re all set for hosting a big party here.

The dining area can sit up to 16 persons and the modern kitchen is adjacent to it. This space opens to the covered terrace with the barbecue and a dining table. In warm days meals can be served outside on the terrace for all guests.

The living area has three large sofas and two armchairs in front of the fire place.

The SPA is 45 sq.m. of relaxation area. It’s a bright and calming space where up to six lounger beds can be arranged around the wood burning open fireplace covered with Himalayan salt bricks. You’ll love spending time in this space with the sound of our high quality Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker.

In the evenings, the discreet lights behind the bricks of the chimney are a nice touch. The lights in the floor and the flames of the fire can make the space quite mysterious. The steam bath and the sauna can fit up to four persons at a time each. The SPA opens from two sides through the large glass doors to the garden and in just a few steps you can get in the (jacuzzi with hot spring water at 37-39 degrees Celsius. It’s this temperature all year round and the magnificent garden and mountain view are changing as the weather light changes too.

The 45 sq. m. living and relaxation area on the second floor can be also used for a meeting space. There is another large flat screen with a satellite TV and HDMI cable suitable for presentations. It also has a balcony to enjoy the stunning view towards the mountain or just have some fresh air and feel the greatness of the open space.

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole house 24 hours a day, including the Spa with the sauna, the steam bath as well as the outside hot spring mineral water jacuzzi.
Free parking in the yard or the garage is available. There is a 100 Mbit Wi Fi access throughout the whole facility.

Interaction with guests

There is a person on call and contactable at all times for help. This person can come quickly to the house, if needed. The owners can also be contacted by phone, and by message, to answer any questions you may have.

Other things to note

Food can be ordered from the numerous restaurants in Bansko and the other surrounding villages, however, we are recommending upon request two of the best catering facilities in the area which can provide catering and waiter/waitress service.

Activities such as horse riding, hiking, hire water rafting,, MTB, bicycles, ATV, enduro motorbikes, wine tasting and excursions to Plovdiv, Rila Monastery can be organised. Additional charges apply and should be booked in advance.

The ski slopes are just forty minutes away whether you take the gondola lift from Bansko or drive up to the ski station. Pirin Golf and Country Club is just 10 km away. You can book a massage. Fresh meat (chicken, pork, beef and lamb) is available from the nearby slaughterhouses and farmers. Fresh milk, artisan yogurt, cheese and superb seasonal vegetables are all plentiful.
