General Manager Natalia Kashirskaya receives the award

The Kempinski Hotel in Bansko has won the best ski hotel in Bulgaria award from the World Ski Awards. This is their fourth win of this award; the others being in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2016 the Premier Luxury Mountain Resort won this award.

This award was presented in Kitzbuel in Austria and those familiar with the blog will recognise Kempinski General Manager, Natalia Kashirskya  picking up the award. Bansko ski resort also picked up best ski resort in Bulgaria at the event.

My view

Congratulations to the team at the Kempinski. I have noticed a positive change in the last few weeks there and I am especially interested to see the Kempinski move onwards and upwards in it’s menus, service and entertainment offerings.

Take a listen to my podcast interview with the delightful General Manager Natalia Kashirskya and PR and Marketing Manager, Emiliya Kordeva we discuss Natalia’s start in St Petersburg, her almost accidental start in the hospitality sector and her impressive rise through the ranks. This promotion is made the more impressive as the General Manager role is one that has, traditionally, been male dominated.

The Kempinski management team with the award

We discuss the new apres ski bar, new menus and I hope even better service. But also some of my favourites like the musical duo, Eli and Doni of Taboo, playing at Kempinski’s Sing Sing piano bar and their Sushi and Teppanyaki restaurant next door.
