Winter Season Starts Saturday 3rd December 2016
The winter season here in Bansko will start on Saturday 3rd December. This was announced on my live Facebook video with resort Marketing Director Ivan Obreykov.
It was a beautiful day. With bright sunshine and nice cold -12 C temperatures. The snow depth at the top was 75 cm and at the top of the gondola station was 40cm. the piste machines were preparing the snow and the snow cannon were working flat out.
On the 3rd there will be just one or two lifts working and will gradually increase until the 17th December, the official opening.
