Loving First Day Of The Ski Season: More Lifts To Open
The first day on the piste is always one that I look forward to. But this year it was a real pleasure because it was earlier than many previous years and the sunn was shining and the three runs open were all in pretty good condition. To make the first run more interesting I grabbed my phone in -12 C and started to record on Facebook Live.
An early hot chocolate and a tomato soup was a nice treat in the VIP Room located at Buderishka Poliana. It saw us all feeling better and ready for more runs.
The two new ladies working at the VIP Room restaurant posed with me for a photo. As we were the very first people to enter the restaurant for the season I felt a quick photo was in order.
After less than an hour David and Adam arrived and we enjoyed a few runs and another part 2 snow report: again on Facebook live.
Here is the edited version posted on the Bansko Blog YouTube Channel where we talk about the conditions, the issue with high winds and hope for the winter ski season ahead:
My legs are aching more than a little and it will take a good few weeks before I get ski fit. So I would advise that now is the time to do cross fitness, cycling and some gym session to ensure you can get maximum slope time.
I expect at least three times a week and will bring you news of the snow conditions, interviews, news, restaurants, events and much more.
