Bandersihka Polinana: Picture taken 10th March 2016

Another great morning on the slopes above Bansko. Lots of nice off piste sections and whilst visibility was compromised, the joy of making turns in soft snow made up for it. The snow is a little heavy due to temperature that are only just at zero degrees. Here’s my video report from run number 10.

Rain lower down has closed the snow road. I am hopeful the turn to colder temperatures will mean the snow road can open early next week.

Snow forecast

Gondola lift from Buderishka Poliana.

More snow to fall tomorrow and then temperatures drop on Friday. Saturday more snow that should fall in the town. Low temperatures until at least 16th March but could be a lot longer. It is not often I say to people to come out to Bansko — take that sneaky little ski trip.

Life is too short not to.

All in all Horizon Festival goers and everyone in Bansko have nothing to complain about regarding the snow. In fact I think them emphasis should be on trying to party hard and ski / snowboard hard. That is always a challenge.

Learning in the snowy conditions

Today Kris and Ivan, the two developers who work on Bansko App are here in Bansko. A special trip for them as a thank you. They loved it — and being Bulgarian it’s really nice to see how they enjoyed Amigos last night.

If you’re coming to Bansko to learn, it really is a super time to do so.

Remember the Bansko App has in-app chat, lift opening and loads of info. If you like it please rate and review it but best of all, save yourself money and use the one stop shop booking service here, or in Bansko App. Great equipment, long opening hours, friendly service, experienced instructors and safe drivers. You, and everyone in your group receives a free piste map cloth (worth €5 each).

The Bansko Shuttle is hugely popular so book early (only in the app).

Thank you for watching and reading.
