Powder Day Alert With Latest GoPro Snow Report

With another 20cm of fresh powder for Bansko and another 30cm+ falling as I type, then Bansko is on form.

With skies clearing by Wednesday and the combination of sun and snow means we are set for some very special days on the hill.

Paul and Nick Little are the stars of the GoPro report and my sincere thanks for doing this job. I did not ask for any testimonial and really blushing at their kind words. But it reminds me how working hard to get those small details correct pay off in any business.

Like most things it can seem simple. But getting the whole process from web site / app service to the actual airport to ski /snowboard hire / lessons and lift passes provision to the highest international standards as been a worthwhile goal. Not all ski snowboard hire is the same in Bansko. Nor is the service when things go wrong.

The Bansko Blog regulars understand that taking out the hassle out of a ski trip makes for a great start. Private transfer, pick up passes in shop, free storage and free drying of equipment.

Horizon festival

Now in full swing. Top DJ’s in town. Part people everywhere. My local bar and restaurant (and home to the live Q cam), Euphoria sees three party nights this week.

Be careful out there. Some British tourists got disorientated in some fog the other day.

They were eventually rescued.

Make sure you mobile phone has a location coordinates (Bansko App “My Stats” for example)  helps mountain rescue quickly find your whereabouts. Be careful and you’ll never find yourself in a similar situation.
