GoPro snow report
It’s been a fine week on the piste here in Bansko. Out came the GoPro for my video snow forecast for the week ahead.
The higher temperatures bring a benefit, some softer snow.
But also the obviously downside of snow melting happening, especially on the lower slopes.
NEW!!! Lesson times update for February
- All private lessons start at 09:00 (finish at 11:00)
- Group lessons start at 11:00 – 13:00 and 13:30 till 15:30
Snow forecast
With a weather front moving over on Wednesday this brings prospect of more snow higher up.
But the high temperatures persist for at least the next five days.

Still very quiet here, you’ll see that in the video. I like it here and it’s also where The Secret Hotel has it Wednesday and Saturday airbag parties. But good food in nice surroundings make this a top place to go on the mountain. Location of this and most other place is in the Bansko App.
I went to this area to the small stretch of black run here. Inspired by the Socchi Olympics I am confident my top speed of 88 km/hr will soon be broken.
But my point is that if you need to go somewhere quiet, then do what I do was to use my brand new Head Raptor ski boots for the first time.
Combine with Rossignol slant nose Advanced skis, the morning reminded me now important good ski boots are for keeping good control. And helping a more aggressive ski style.
These Rossignol skis are part of a fabulous and exceptionally well priced selection to rent via the banskoblog.com ski hire booking service.
More and more people are discovering that they need stiffer skis and both VIP and advanced skis will assist carving technique for the improving intermediate skier.
