Snow. Low temperatures. Come to Bansko

Bansko snow

Banderishka Poliana, Top of gondola. 26th Jan 2014

Overnight snow in Bansko sees, finally, a little sprinkling of white in town and, so far, another 5 cm to 10 cm of fresh snow.

More snow falling. Probably another 20cm over the next 48 hours.

Watch live video report below:

Fresh powder, more lifts to open

There is still a hard base underneath the fresh snow. 15cm+ of snow will sprinkle down today. This will improve the pistes for the week commencing Monday 27th January.

I expect more lifts to open by Tuesday, if not earlier.

Snow forecast

More today Sunday. Some more snow on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures drop lower still.

Some really nice powder days are ahead. UPDATE: Today was great…

… Come to Bansko. Now.

This afternoon’s snow will improve conditions further and get this (real) snow deprived ski season back on track.

Ski hire, lessons, lift passes, transfers booking feedback

“Hi Lance, just like to say thanks for the great service you and the team provided at the shop regarding ski hire. Nothing was too much trouble and the ease of using the shop so close to the gondola was a big bonus. Hopefully be back next year, thanks from the boys from South Wales!”

Pre booking not only saves you money, but also ensure you have the equipment, lesson and lift passes all set before you arrive. Most people are amazed at how quick and easy we have the process from booking to the moment you arrive in the shop and from then on.

This process is because I set up Bansko Blog five years ago to help improve on what could be an average experience for the visitor.

Now in the sixth season, I think it’s better than ever. Quality, service and such great comments, like the one above received this morning.

Because it’s 5 years of Bansko Blog we have made a special piste map goggle wipe for all bookings made here on BanskoBlog.

Thank you for reading and watching.

    Hello Lance !
Thank you very much for the report. I am planning a trip to Bansko early April. Can I be more or less certain that all the lifts will be opened?
The latest time I visit Bansko is mid March and it has been great skiing but the feeling has been that spring is coming and that the season were coming close to an end.
Bansko claims that the season lasts until mid May…?
    What is youre opinion?
