Premier Gastronomy Festival 1st to 17th November 2013
As the nights draw in, and the days shorten, food in Bansko takes centre stage. So it is in the cool clear morning air that I enter The Gallery of Modern Art in Doctor’s Garden. It’s a pleasant central district of Sofia located close to the famous landmark building — Alexander Nevski church.
But I’m here for the press event for the Gastronomy Festival 2013, to be held at the Premier Luxury Mountain Resort between 1st and 17th November 2013.
Whilst chefs are busy cooking some impressive looking dishes we’re informed about the festival…
…”guests will be able to enjoy not only master skills of special guests, but also to be part of the accompanying thematic events, wine tastings and a bazaar of producers in the region.”
And there’s more…
“…One of the biggest surprises of the festival will be the presence of Father Epifanios (monk of Mount Athos), known in Europe for his culinary creations of Monastery cuisine.”
There is a charity partnership with the International Women’s Club (“IWC”) of Sofia. They are donating part of the revenue of Saturday 2nd November to their cause.Throughout the festival a charity ruffle; people may purchase tickets for € 1 each. All money will go to IWC.
The winner will enjoy free accommodation in Premier.
The Premier Gastronomy Festival
The lengths that the Premier Luxury Mountain Resort go to to make sure that this, now annual, event goes well is evident. I felt there was genuine passion for good food. They are making our love of gastronomy a compelling reason as to why we should visit the Premier.
If looking to take a short Autumn break in Bansko to recharge the batteries this November then the Premier Gastronomy Festival seems the excuse to make it happen. It’s a fine hotel and they seem intent to make their guests’ gastronomic experience one to remember.
Judging from my previous visits to Premier’s restaurant Amvrosia, and last year’s event, I can confidently recommend the Premier’s Gastronomy Festival in Bansko.
