Ski hire is a significant part of a ski holiday’s expense — and one worth saving cash on, but certainly not worth sacrificing quality, or choice, for. I’m familiar with the first day hassle; hire, pass, lessons… comparing hire rates… So join many others who have enjoyed a smooth start to their Bansko holiday whilst saving money.

Why Prepay?

Bansko pistes

Bansko For Children

Turning up in any ski resort and hiring your gear is fine…but you generally will pay more than you need. Bansko hire shops want more business for hire and lessons. And they like prepay so that they can be sure of demand. This saves them money — which they pass on in the rates they offer BanskoBlog readers.

As an agent, I’ve been working with several long standing reputable ski service providers, who enjoy a fine reputation for quality service, small class sizes and reliability.

You Gain:

  • being ready for the next day’s hire — ski rental pick up on arrival in Bansko,
  • flexibility to change up to VIP skis, or add more lessons — keep your discount for those extras
  • relaxation, no walking in ski boots — free ski/board and boot storage
  • convenience — hire centres within 50m of the gondola
  • experienced and knowledgeable staff in the business for 8+ years
  • always newly serviced skis and snowboards, that are a maximum of two seasons old
  • peace of mind that your instructor is properly qualified to teach you and your children.
Bansko Lift

Just subscribe to the blog for your ski package form. Just email this back to me and you’ll receive your quote within 24 hours. Pay by credit card (via PayPal).

Prepaid discounts can be up to 40% off the resort  prices — all depending on the mix of hire equipment, lessons, lift pass etc. Just subscribe to this site and you receive your quote form.

Does PrePaying For A Lift Pass Always Save Money?

There is a risk that adverse weather may prevent skiing on all six days, or indeed you fancy a day off. If this concerns you, my advice is do not pre book your lift pass. The saving is not big enough to compensate for a day off the slopes. Check out 09/10 lift prices: http://banskoblog.com/2009/12/bansko-lift-pass-prices-2010/ to help decide.

And a day off from skiing can be a fascinating cultural experience in Bulgaria!

Just Require A 6 Day or 13 Day Lift Pass?

To order your discounted lift pass Adult 6 Days is 137 EUR (in resort 147 EUR) and Child EUR 83 (in resort EUR 87.44) please subscribe for your form and complete for lift pass only.

Join blog and you will automatically receive a ski hire / ski package quote form. Any questions please contact me.

Thank You.

what time do the hire shop and gondola lift open

Reply

Hi Victoria,

The hire shops open at 7:45 and the gondola lift opens for the general public at 8.30am. It can get very busy so if you can get to the gondola earlier that can save time — however this is not always true! Have a great trip to Bansko.

We would like to purchase a 6 day lift pass from you today but we need the lift pass from the 17th Feb (less than 7 days). Is that possible? Thanks Robyn.

Hi there,
i'm coming to Bansko for 4 days at the beginning of March- cant wait! As its only 3 days on the piste is the best option to just get daily passes?

cheers Lance. is there a lot of queueing in the morning for skis and the gondola normally?

Hi Blair, out of peak season, its fine for gondola.

No queue for you r skis from ski shop, in general.

Early March is generally a v good time to go skiing anywhere — but weather is weather. Slush in town this evening – but snow should be good in the (Saturday) morning.
