When organising lift passes, last minute requests could affect the service level, so Iwe try and leave 7 days.

Hi Lance,
A group of us are travelling to Bansko next Saturday and while we have been looking for lift passes online we noticed that you have to give 7 days notice to book the discounted passes. Why is this? Is there any way around it or will we be stuck paying full price when we arrive in resort?

Hello Henning,

Thank you for your comment. We have had over 150 requests and most of these are now bookings… so we have been a little behind processing all of these. Because of the savings the ski packages have been hugely. However, the backlog wil be cleared by Monday afternoon and we will be back on track for normal 48 hour turnaround.

We have been working today and I see now they have put your quote out. however please accept my apologies for the delay.

Bansko offers more than the sum of its parts. Higher lift pass price than Borovets for sure — and i would like to see some special low season and family offers.

But the combination of a modern lift and piste system, all snow cannoned, combined with the magic "feel good factor" that the Pirin and old town Bansko radiate is unique. Unless anyone knows better, and i will stand corrected, I'm pretty sure other resorts in Romania, Greece, Serbia or Turkey don't have all of the above. You then add the Apres ski action in Bansko and it starts to look like a good deal!

I like your new widget, will add this.

Intriguing post – I agree on the price issue – the draw of Bansko (and Bulgaria in general) is the price – and if they lose that price advantage – they are sure to lose skiers to cheaper locations like Borovets, and those in other countries like Romania.

Also – I see you're using the Skyscanner widget – did you know we've got a new and better one that also shows flight prices? (see link: http://api.skyscanner.net/api/ajax/snippets/searc… )
